The Cameroonian civil society organisations that have signed this press release express their deep concern about the Decree N°2023/01630/PM of 27 April 2023 classifying 68,385 hectares part of the Ebo Forest to a Forest Management Unit for logging located in the Divisions of Nkam and Sanaga Maritime, Littoral Region. This same forest has been subjected to classification by Prime Ministerial Decree N°2020/3216 of 14 July 2020 and subsequently withdrawn by Prime Ministerial Decree N°2020/3900/PM of 06 August 2020. How can we understand this backpeddaling by the Prime Minister in particular and the Cameroonian government’s overall vision for forest resource management ? https://gdacameroon.org/download/950/ ENG https://gdacameroon.org/download/947/ FR
