To mark this important day, GDA, in collaboration with WOAC and REFELEF, organized an impactful event with women from communities affected by major projects — Batchenga, Kikot, and Campo.
The goal:
- Understand how women view their environment
- Explore the changes they've experienced
- Co-create local solutions to tackle plastic pollution
A practical outcome:
Participants were trained to recycle plastic bottles into eco-friendly jewelry — earrings and bracelets. A great example of local circular economy and women’s empowerment.
